ok. so that's the basic spells. next: items. balanar is one of the few heroes who can make kills very early in the game. i know someone who managed a beyond godlike before level 10. seriously. not joking. anyway, most basically, use minor items to sustain urself early in the game. balanar's regeneration rate sux, so make up for it with rings of regeneration. spend as much cash as possible on regeneration. VERY IMPORTANT! DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES LET BALANAR DIE B4 LVL 6! next, get power treads. it is a must-have for balanar. especially in the daytime when his movement is slow. all the more effective at night. to play balanar well, one must spam void! increase his mana regen and at night, rape! buy either one void stone or two sobi masks... whichever. you can start getting hero kills with this build already. you should be about level 5 or 6 by now, if you're slow and did not die. go up to any average healthed hero and cast crippling fear. then cast void. after that, just right-click and attack. cast void whenever it cools down. after the first night/kill, you should have enough for a cranium basher. After this, it becomes a turning point on whether you want to play defensively of offensively. it's a rather personal decision, but i like to go offensive. so buriza is a must-have! but for defensive players, heart is a better choice. DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE ATTEMPT TO COMBINE STRATEGIES. cos it is near-impossible. some ppl will farm up to crystalys, then switch over to get reaver or point booster. then they alternate betwen the two until they get both. DON'T DO THAT! IT'S A DEATH WISH! it's better to just pick either one, and maybe buy the other if you have too much money, one empty item slot, and nothing else to do. after buriza, you will be powerful enuff to kill almost any hero at night. seriously. so now is the time to think about what to get in order to pawn in the day... most people will know that naix can just press r and sit back and sing gg. so, to get the same effect for balanar, my advice is get a bkb. if in the morning, you see a hero, walk up, crippling fear, void, avatar, right click, and gg. always get blink dagger in case of retreating heroes. even in his base, just blink in, void, blink out. finish the job fast. if the first void does not finish to job, don;t stick around. you'll get yourself killed. go and find ur next victim. try ur best to upgrade all ur items for regeneration purposes. when all is going well, get another basher, or an eye of skadi. the slowing effects will add on well with crippling fear. so your item build at endgame should look like this:

Cranium BasherCranium Basher
Eye of SkadiPower Treads
